My Secret Weapon for Learning New Tech Stacks
I used to spend weeks trying to learn a new programming language. Reading books, watching tutorials, taking notes.
Feeling like I was getting nowhere.
Then I discovered something that changed everything: using AI to rewrite my projects in different tech stacks.
Last month, I wanted to build a game server that could handle thousands of players.
I knew Python, but had never built anything that needed to scale. Instead of drowning in documentation, I described what I wanted to build, and the AI helped me write a fully Python game server that scaled beautifully.
This week, I wanted to create a URL metadata extractor. I could have stuck with Python, but I was curious about JavaScript.

So I asked the AI to help me rebuild it using Node and Express. Within hours, I was running a working JS app and actually understanding the code.
Here's why this approach is so powerful:
You learn by doing, not by studying.
You're not memorizing syntax in isolation.
You're building something real, something you care about, with guidance that adapts to your questions.
The traditional way of learning feels like studying a foreign language by memorizing vocabulary lists.
This way feels like having a native speaker who helps you order food, ask for directions, and have actual conversations.
What I love most is how it collapses the beginner phase.
That frustrating period where you know what you want to build but can't figure out how to translate it into code? It's gone.
You can focus on the interesting problems instead of fighting with setup and syntax.
Of course, I'm not becoming an expert overnight. But I'm building muscle memory through real practice.
I'm learning the patterns that matter in each language. I'm developing an intuition for when to use different tools.
And most importantly, I'm shipping actual projects instead of abandoning them when I hit a roadblock.
Learn AI in 5 minutes a day
This is the easiest way for a busy person wanting to learn AI in as little time as possible:
Sign up for The Rundown AI newsletter
They send you 5-minute email updates on the latest AI news and how to use it
You learn how to become 2x more productive by leveraging AI
If you've been wanting to learn a new language or framework but keep putting it off, try this approach.
Pick a small project you care about. Ask AI to help you build it in the tech stack you want to learn. Ask questions about the code.
Modify it. Break it and fix it.
You'll be amazed at how quickly theory turns into practical knowledge you can actually use.
